Roberta’s work centers on appreciation of and experience in nature, especially coastal themes of wildlife, geology, and impressions of water and sea life. Her hand-built pieces and thrown forms embody themes derived from experience in nature and observation of geological features. Work might be impressionistic or representational, but always focused on the rhythms and patterns of the natural world. Atmospheric firing, with its variations and unpredictability relates to the forces of nature.

Roberta is a founding member of the Oregon Potters Association and a member of the Waterstone Gallery in Portland. Roberta has participated in more than 100 shows and gallery exhibits throughout the PNW, the US and in Japan.
