If it's fiber, I’m hooked! I was introduced to basket-making over twenty years ago which blended nicely with other fiber arts I have enjoyed through the years. These include felted wool, embroidery, spinning, weaving, and knitting. They continue to influence my basketry. and show up in some way .
I weave baskets using a variety of natural and found objects. Some of my favorites are sweet grass, red and yellow cedar, willow, driftwood, barks, and yard cuttings. I often add leathers, and metals. These options provide texture and the colors are limitless.
Spending time in my studio is a gift of time. When I retired from education, I redefined myself as an artist. I still like to teach small groups or on an individual basis. Please call and make an appointment to visit my studio. You will receive a wholehearted welcome! And just maybe I can get you hooked on fiber, too!
